Movin’ On, Penn State’s annual spring music festival, began in April 1975 on the HUB Lawn, and in recent years it has been held on the Blue Band field on the north end of University Park. In 1978, the event featured 15 artists and had its first headlining act, The Nighthawks, with a special appearance by Gregg Allman. The 2023 event featured five musical acts, headlined by rapper J.I.D.
