Students and faculty enjoyed a bite and conversation in the Hetzel Union Building dining area in 1955, the year the HUB opened. Prior to that, the campus’s central dining facility was located in the basement of Old Main. The HUB has been renovated several times since, most recently in 2015, when roughly 50,000 square feet were added to the food court. Today, the HUB food court is home to chain restaurants such as Sbarro, Burger King, Panda Express, Blue Burrito, and Slim Chickens.
