The Penn State branch of Climate Action Campaign, a national organization, launched in the fall, but its members had already been working in previous semesters to encourage their fellow students to register to vote and to sign petitions in support of the Inflation Reduction Act and Environmental Protection Agency regulations. The club also participates with other sustainably minded organizations at Earth Day events each year. “I feel like this club is a great way for people to realize, ‘I do have a voice outside of myself and outside of this campus,’” says event planner Gentry Doucette.
