Janelle Rushton has participated in Alumni Association-sponsored efforts for her major, college, campus, and city in the nine years since she graduated. Now a gift officer at King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, Rushton ’15 H&HD has already been president of the Human Development and Family Studies Alumni Group, a member of the Health and Human Development Alumni Society Board, and vice president of the Alumni Association’s Philadelphia Chapter.

And after moving back to her hometown last fall, she joined the Hazleton Alumni Society at the campus where she spent her first two years. Volunteering with fellow alumni, Rushton says, “is the most fun, surrounding yourself with all of these people who are passionate about the same thing you are.” Rushton was a Lion Line caller during her senior year at University Park. The job sparked her interest in development, which became her career, and introduced her to the Alumni Group for her major, HDFS.
