Q: How do you craft a standout résumé?

A: When drafting bullet points, follow the STAR method: situation, task, action, result. Where have you been a leader or a great team member, or persevered through an upset? Highlight results, and tailor them to fit the role you’re applying for.

Q: How do you impress in an interview?

A: Prep, prep, prep. Listening to or watching a recording of yourself will help you notice any verbal crutches you rely on. Diversify your answers so you pull from different events, activities, and clubs that you’re involved with.

Q: What are the most vital skills in your profession?

A: Resiliency, hard work, being eager, grit, prioritizing learning, craftsmanship, and courage.

Q: What’s the best advice you’ve received?

A: To listen, care, and remember what people talk about.

Q: What tips can you offer first-time job seekers?

A: First impressions matter, and they will follow you throughout your career. —Savita Iyer
