Anthony J. Danna ’70 Hbg, a sales and business development consultant, published a book, How to Develop Professional Selling Skills & Techniques Based on Common Sense & Ethics. He lives in Elverson, Pa.

Marc Robert Steinberg ’70 Lib, a former Montgomery County assistant district attorney and current managing shareholder at Rubin, Glickman, Steinberg, and Gifford PC, was included in the 2023 Pennsylvania Super Lawyers list for criminal defense law. He has been on the list for 20 consecutive years. He lives in Lansdale, Pa.

Paul Robert Oakes ’72 Lib (ΦΚΤ) is a writer of fantasy novel series, including Black Crystal, Black Scarlet, White Angel, and Raven Quest, which were issued new covers to celebrate 10 years in print. He lives in Weyers Cave, Va.

Barbara “Babs” Friedman Polansky ’75 Bus retired after more than 41 years at the American Chemical Society, where she worked in copyright, trademarks, bylaws, and IT. She is a certified rescue diver and lives in Louisville, Ky.

William Levinson ’78 Sci, principal consultant at Levinson Productivity Systems, wrote a book, Reshore Production Now: How to Rebuild Manufacturing and Restore High Wages, High Profits, and National Prosperity in the USA. He lives in Wilkes-Barre, Pa.

 

 

Marci Mayer Eisen ’79 H&HD has worked at the Jewish Federation of St. Louis for 15 years and currently serves as the director of Millstone Leadership Initiatives. She launched the International Model United Nations, a cohort of international coaching federation–credentialed coaches who are affiliated with Jewish organizations in the U.S. and beyond. She lives in St. Louis.

Brian A. Sullivan ’82 Bus, an investment adviser representative for Wealth Advisory Group Inc., completed the inaugural IRONMAN 70.3 Pennsylvania Happy Valley course, which ended in Beaver Stadium. He and his wife, Karen, and their three sons live in Merion Station, Pa.

Pamela Brazil Lieberman ’86 Eng retired as vice president of regulatory quality compliance at Altria after 35 years with the company. She lives in Richmond, Va.

Thomas A. Harrop ’88 Sci, former superintendent of facilities management for the City of Newport, R.I., is now the associate director of facilities and operations at Rhode Island College. He lives in Warwick, R.I.

Mark Konchar ’94 A&A, ’98 PhD Eng (Hockey) was promoted to president of U.S. Civils and managing director of U.S. Rail at Balfour Beatty, where he has worked for more than 22 years. He lives in Fairfax County, Va.

Allison Vallin Kostovick ’94 Lib, an organic gardener and art director for the Farmers’ Almanac, wrote The Garden Maker’s Book of Wonder. The book includes 162 recipes, crafts, and gardening tips and techniques. She lives in Portland, Maine. Her brother: David Vallin ’89 Lib. Mother: Marlene Boyd Vallin ’83 PhD Lib.

Matthew Grandinetti ’07 H&HD and his wife, Elizabeth, welcomed their daughter, Hannah Jane, on May 10, 2023. Hannah Jane joins brothers Joseph and Benjamin. The family lives in Downingtown, Pa.

Jason Abdo ’10 Eng, founder of an educational platform, Product Protégé LLC, wrote Product Protégé Guide: The Art of Product Management for E-commerce and Beyond. He lives in Smyrna, Ga.

William S. Cossen ’12 MA, ’16 PhD Lib, a historian and faculty member at The Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science, and Technology, published his first book, Making Catholic America: Religious Nationalism in the Gilded Age and Progressive Era. He lives in Decatur, Ga.

Michael Stremski ’13 Eng married Mary Chuff ’16 Com, ’16 Lib (Schreyer) on Sept. 25, 2021. They were expecting a baby daughter in December 2023 and currently live in Dunmore, Pa.

Melissa Choe Altomare ’16 H&HD married Nicholas Altomare ’16 Bus on June 23, 2023 in Chesterfield, N.J. They live in Philadelphia.

Many Penn State alumni attended the June 17, 2023, wedding of Kasey Elkin ’17 Eng and Anthony Soares ’17 Eng in Jackson Hole, Wyo. They live in Somerville, Mass.

Brendan Sporer ’17 Eng (Schreyer) wed Emily Schmid ’17 Edu on July 21, 2023, in Bucks County, Pa., with many Penn State alumni in attendance. They live in Ann Arbor, Mich. His father: Drew ’81 Sci. Sister: Rachel ’20 Edu.
