Penn State freshman Miriam Colvin was one of two grand-prize winners in the 2021 NPR Student Podcast Competition. In her winning entry, “Competition With the Best,” Colvin investigates the oft-told legend of her grandfather, a family friend, and 1950s encounter with a young amateur boxer named Cassius Clay—a.k.a. future heavyweight champion Muhammad Ali.
