Penn State York added a key resource for career readiness last year with the opening of the Graham Center for Innovation and Collaboration (below), which is home to both the Graham Fellows Program for Entrepreneurial Leadership and the Center for Inclusive Leadership. “The Graham Center provides students with professional preparation that will allow them to contribute on day one in their first jobs out of college,” says Chancellor David Christiansen.

Cultivating Philanthropy

The Women’s Philanthropic Network at Penn State York is the university’s first and (so far) only women’s philanthropic initiative, awarding grants for scholarships, equipment, software, speaker fees, and other things that fall outside regular budgets. Through 2021, the network’s sixth year, more than $145,000 had been raised to help students while nurturing future philanthropic women leaders. “We learn together, give, network, and celebrate our successes,” says Di Hershey ’81 Bus, director of Alumni Relations and Development at York.
