FOUNDED: 2018

CURRENT MEMBERSHIP: 50–60

MISSION: To raise awareness of and support menstrual equity.

Days for Girls at Penn State was established in 2018 as a chapter of the international Days for Girls organization and shares its priorities of education, advocacy, and service. “A huge public health issue is that there isn’t a focus on menstrual equity,” says club president Shaka Ramanathan. Club members sew reusable menstrual health kits, stock period products in various locations at University Park, and seek to generate discussions about the lack of access to period products.
