Gordon G. Fee ’56 Sci received the 2025 Selma Shapiro Friend of the Child Award from the Children’s Museum of Oak Ridge, Tenn., for his long-term commitment to serving the community and the museum. Gordon and his wife, Miriam J. Olanderm ’55 H&HD, recently celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary. Theirs was the second wedding and first reception held in University Park’s Eisenhower Chapel in 1956. They live in Oak Ridge, Tenn.

Anthony P. Semancik ’74 Lib has been listed in Marquis Who’s Who in recognition of a long legal career in public service, including 30 years at the Metropolitan Transportation Authority in New York City. Since 2019, he has served as special counsel to Empire State Development, focusing on affordable housing, mixed-use, and transit-oriented development projects. He and his wife, Charlene, live in South Orange, N.J.
Jay Silverman ’77 Bus (AEP) was recently elected as a township commissioner for Upper Moreland Township, Pa. He lives in Willow Grove, Pa.
Kenneth Gilbert ’78 Sci is president of the Germany Philatelic Society of the U.S.A., the main organization for collectors of German stamps and postal history in the U.S., with about 650 members worldwide. He lives in Columbus, Ohio.
Mark Kocsi ’79 Lib retired after a 45-year career in law enforcement, the last 23 of which he spent as police chief in East Brandywine Township, Pa. He has worked as patrolman, detective, and lieutenant in Montgomery County, Pa. He was a member of the 193rd FBI National Academy class in Quantico, Va. He lives in Skippack, Pa.
Dennis A. Whitaker ’79 H&HD, ’88 JD Law presented at the Pennsylvania Bar Institute’s 2025 Legislative Review as part of a panel on nationwide injunctions. Whitaker is of counsel at HMS Legal and is an adjunct professor at Widener Commonwealth Law School. He lives in Harrisburg, Pa.

Steven D. Earhart ’81 Bus was awarded the Keystone Award, The National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA)-Pennsylvania’s highest award. The award is given to the NAIFA volunteer who has made the greatest contributions on the national, state, and local levels. These contributions include advancing the profession, NAIFA chapters, and local communities and organizations. He lives in Collegeville, Pa.
Susan Bradford Tarley ’83 Lib was named president-elect of the Virginia State Bar, an organization serving more than 54,000 Virginia lawyers. She begins her term in July. Tarley practices law in Williamsburg, Va., with her husband, John Tarley ’82 H&HD, ’83 Bus, at their firm, Tarley Robinson PLC. They live in Williamsburg.
Jeffrey W. Patzer ’85 Eng retired in July 2025. Patzer started his career as an industrial engineer with Frito-Lay, making potato chips. He then worked for different companies making sewing products, ready-to-eat meals, donuts, and burritos before a 20-year stint with Meiji America / D.F. Stauffer Biscuit Company as vice president of engineering. He lives in Landisville, Pa.

Mark A. Goodwill ’87 Lib retired from the United States Air Force on Sept. 1, 2025, after 38 years of service. During his career, he commanded the 171st Air Refueling Wing at the Pittsburgh International Airport. He lives in Beaver, Pa.

Christina Hitchcock ’97 Bus wrote The Super Easy Teen Cookbook, a New York Times bestseller in the Young Adult Paperbacks category. She is a digital entrepreneur, cookbook author, and educator specializing in food media and influencer business strategy, and launched It Is a Keeper, a nationally recognized food and lifestyle platform where she shares time-saving recipes for busy families. She also co-founded The Smart Influencer, a coaching and education company that teaches digital content creators how to run their businesses more strategically using streamlined systems, analytics, and digital products. Andrew Miller ’15 MS WC has been appointed chief financial officer, Americas, at SharkNinja, a global product design and technology company behind the Shark and Ninja brands. He’ll be leading the financial strategy and supporting commercial operations across North and Latin America, partnering with commercial and executive leadership to drive growth, sharpen pricing and investment decisions, strengthen forecasting and performance management, and support new product launches across the portfolio. He lives in Burleson, Texas.
Callie Curley Smith ’18 Com joined The Northeast Dairy Producers Association (NEDPA), a resource and network hub for New York’s family dairy farms for more than three decades, as the organization’s new director of membership and communications. A lifelong advocate for agriculture, she has led communications for a privately owned dairy ingredient manufacturer, a farmer-owned agricultural retail cooperative, and a statewide agricultural membership organization. In her most recent role as executive director of marketing at Indiana Farm Bureau, she managed a team, oversaw statewide events, and supported 92 county farm bureaus to ensure that members, partners, and leaders were aligned around shared goals. Curley Smith grew up on a family dairy farm in northeastern Pennsylvania. She lives in Indianapolis.

Russ Mast ’23 MBA Bus joined EverTrue’s leadership team as chief operating officer. He brings more than two decades of leadership experience in senior living, health care, and affordable housing. He joined EverTrue from HumanGood, another leading not-for-profit senior living organization, where he served as vice president of operations. His career also includes executive roles at Frederick Living and Living Branches, with expertise in life plan community operations, team development, strategic planning, and risk management.
