Penn State and Michigan invaded the World’s Most Famous Arena on Saturday for the inaugural B1G Super Satrurday, a doubleheader of basketball and hockey in the heart of New York City.
The unique “Big Ten Day” was announced in 2014 as part of a deal with the Big Ten and Madison Square Garden, which will host the 2018 Big Ten men’s basketball conference tournament.
Fans began to pack the Garden well ahead if the first game, a noon basketball tip off, as Penn Staters flocked to the city for the takeover.

Michigan topped the Nittany Lions 79-72 in the opener, making way for the night cap between the two hockey programs.
