And then there were three: ESPN is reporting that four more assistant coaches are leaving Penn State along with Bill O’Brien, including strength coach Craig Fitzgerald—a favorite among players and fans. That brings the number of departing staff members to eight, with only three coaches remaining. No hiring announcements yet, though rumors are swirling, as reported today by Onward State‘s Kevin Horne. Stay tuned.
Low and behold: Temperatures are hitting record lows all over the Northeast, and it seems like everybody is taking to Twitter and Facebook to prove just how cold it is. One of this morning’s highlights (lowlights?): This video, from Weather World‘s Brad Guay, showing what happens to boiling water when it’s tossed from an eight-story building at -8 degrees. Spoiler alert: There’s some freezing involved.
Wild West: Another huge act is set visit the Bryce Jordan Center this year: It was announced this morning that rapper Kanye West is bringing his Yeezus tour—his first tour in five years—to State College on Feb. 13, which is just two weeks after Jay-Z makes an appearance on Jan. 31. Onward State posted the story (along with links to some of Kanye’s most, um… interesting performances) this morning. Tickets go on sale Friday.
