Tor Hamer On Last Call with Carson Daly

A quick update on Tor Hamer ’08, the rising heavyweight boxer we introduced you to earlier this year. Hamer, now 9-0 with seven knockouts in his professional career, was featured last Friday on Last Call with Carson Daly.

It’s well worth the five minutes — especially if you don’t mind Carson and some celebrity chef talking about steak for the first minute or so. Among the highlights:

-The prominent placement of “PENN STATE” on Tor’s shorts in many of the shots.

-This quote from Tor on his fighting style:

“I am whatever bothers my opponent the most.”

-And these quotes from Tor’s promoter, Lou DiBella:

“He’s not a 250-pound, 6-foot-7 heavyweight, but he’s got a 250-pound, 6-foot-7 intellect.”

“Three or four years from now, Tor Hamer will fight for the heavyweight championship of the world.”

On Wednesday night, Tor will try to improve to 10-0 when he faces Domonic Jenkins at BB King’s Blues Club in New York City. As always, you can check Tor’s Web site for updates.
