Billy Price Goes Black-Tie

The guy who ranks as perhaps Penn State’s best-known rocker, Billy Price, has signed on to play a fancy gala for Penn State Fayette next month. The “Blue and White Gala” April 18 at Nemacolin Woodlands is a black-tie event with proceeds benefiting student scholarships. More information about the gala is here, or you can e-mail Janet Kowalczyk at jrk22@psu.edu.
Billy Price (a.k.a. Bill Pollak ’71, ’79g) is based in Pittsburgh now; we profiled him in the magazine back in Jan-Feb 2000, in a piece written by English professor Toby Thompson. By the time of the Nemacolin gig, the Billy Price Band will have just released their newest CD, Night Work, with Fred Chapellie. In May they’ll head off for a concert tour in France.
